Community Action Forums coming soon to a school near you

Community_Conversations_Flyer_08292016-rev3Don’t forget! Impact Monadnock, Monadnock Region school districts, and River Valley Community College will be hosting Monadnock Region Community Action Forums on Early Childhood in the upcoming weeks.

These forums will offer:

  • Opportunities for communities to make their voices heard about the challenges facing our young children and families and how best to tackle them.
  • Opportunities to create understanding and awareness of the importance of investing in early childhood as a way to improve the overall well-being of the Monadnock Region.

Forums will be facilitated by New Hampshire Listens, a civic engagement initiative of the Carsey School of Public Policy at the University of New Hampshire. New Hampshire Listens works at the local and state level to support civil, public deliberation of complex issues affecting everyday lives.

Registration has opened for the Early Childhood Summit: The Seven Essential Life Skills Every Child Needs, scheduled to take place from 9:00-11:00 AM on Monday, June 27, 2016 at Keene State College. NH Listens to Partner with Impact Monadnock for Advancing Early Child Development

Keene, NH –  Impact Monadnock, a local organization focused on improving the health and prosperity of the Monadnock region through focusing on early child development, will receive program assistance from NH Listens, a statewide organization dedicated to building strong communities in the Granite State.

Support for this partnership comes from the Endowment for Health, which awarded a grant to NH Listens for the purpose of providing technical assistance to selected early child development organizations within the state.
