Advocacy Updates

advocacy (noun) – public support for or recommendation of a particular cause or policy

Impact Monadnock recognizes the importance of advocacy for our region’s youngest citizens and their families. That is why we’ve been working behind the scenes with some of New Hampshire’s strongest advocacy organizations to push for policies that will make a difference in the lives of children ages zero to 5. Here are some updates on our latest advocacy efforts:

  • In early January, Impact Monadnock’s Project Director, Dr. Marj Droppa, was selected to Co-Chair the Spark NH Policy Committee alongside Lara Quiroga of Project Launch. The committee meets monthly and coordinates the development and implementation of a comprehensive strategic plan for early childhood (birth through 3rd grade) in NH. The committee collaborates with state agency and policy leaders in NH to identify and support changes in policy for the state’s youngest citizens.
